Survival on the Page: Poetry to Empower US

Come join Facilitator Ella Nathanael Alkiewicz (she/her) (Nonfiction, June 2018) for this workshop on Saturday, Oct. 26th. Bring your pen and paper. Attendees will visit across the rectangles and hear stories, jam a little, and then write. Each participant will have the option to read aloud their work for two-minutes. It’s a safe space for QTBIPOC womxn Survivors.

Alkiewicz, a Labrador Inuk, is a Survivor and remade her life in the Connecticut River Valley. She has taught classes for the Edmonton LifeLong Learners, Mt. Holyoke College, North American Indian Center of Boston and recently at The Parlor Room. Alkiewicz, a Nunatsiavut Beneficiary and dual citizen, has been published in DarkWinter Literary Magazine, Inuktitut, Leaflit, and more. Her new business, Ella Alk Inuk LLC, is in Northampton where she sells her Inuit art and teaches. She enjoys being with her family, kayaking, laughing, painting, watching sports, and writing.
