Kevin Prufer’s (Poetry, MFA Faculty) novel Sleepaway is a finalist for the Foreword/Indie Award for Best Novel. He also has a craft talk “Sentimentality & Dogma” published in the Southeast Review.

Jacqueline Berkman’s (Fiction, June 2023) short story, “WagWorld,” will be published in the anthology Made in L.A. Vol. 6: Vantage Points. The theme for this anthology is “Hollywood Adjacent” and focuses on telling stories about the “dreamers, hustlers, and outliers navigating the gravitational pull of the entertainment capital of the world.” Advance copies will be sold at the L.A. - Frances Donovan (Poetry, June 2019) is teaching a series of classes on “Writing: Your Story Matters” starting April 2nd. Participants can write in any genre: essay, memoir, fiction, or poetry.
- MFA Program Director (and nonfiction alum!) Janet Pocorobba and nonfiction alum Holly Claytor are hosting Zoom submissions sessions every other Tuesday evening, starting on January 28th, from 6-7:15pm EST. This group is open to all genres to dedicate time to work on submitting their work for publication. No need to RSVP, email CCW for the link.
