13 Ways to Say Goodbye by Kate Fussner (WFYP, June 2021) was listed on the American Library Association’s 2026 Rainbow Book List, a curated selection that celebrates the lives, experiences, and families of LGBTQIA+ youth.

Boy 2.0 by Tracey Baptiste (WFYP, Mentor) is now available in paperback. She was also invited to talk about writing First-Gen kids in her installment of The Kids in Mrs. Z’s Class.

At the Edge: Curious Creatures of Planet Earth by David Elliott is available for pre-order. It received a starred review from School Library Journal.

Mckensi Pascall’s (WSS, June 2024) 45-minute One Act, EBONY, won the Region 1 (New York and New England) John Cauble Outstanding Short Play Award. It will be performed in DC in April to compete for the National John Cauble Award.

Claudia Rueda’s (WFYP, January 2010) book Afuera / Outside was included as one of twenty winners on the 2026 premio Cuatrogatos list, which helps promote books written by Iberian American authors and illustrators.

- The NBA Teacher Fellowship application is open through February 26. The National Book Foundation Teacher Fellowship supports and celebrates 6th–12th grade teachers. Fellows receive a stipend as well as a book-buying and supplies budget, develop or continue an initiative that promotes reading for pleasure in their classrooms, incorporate National Book Award–honored titles into their curricula, and collaborate with other Fellows through participation in a professional learning community, including an in-person convening in New York City.
