Sunday, August 28, will be the 67th anniversary of the murder of Emmett Till.

The Faraday Publishing Company, in collaboration with Cherry Castle Publishing, will be holding a reading that night at 7:30pm Eastern.

Come hear poets who were featured in the landmark anthology Where We Stand: Poems of Black Resilience, edited by Enzo Silon Surin, Melanie Henderson, and Truth Thomas as we commemorate the blessed memory of Emmett Till and raise our collective voice to make some noise in honor of him and those who’ve died unjustly since.

Readers will include Teri Cross Davis, Michelle Tokarczyk, Bonita Lee Penn, Lisa Pegram, and Joseph Ross. Make sure this meaningful event is on your calendar!
