SUMMARY:Author Talk with Deborah Sosin
DESCRIPTION:Join author Deborah Sosin (Nonfiction\, January 2015) for a lively discussion about Escape Velocity\, a genre-bending constellation of 70 micro-memoirs of 70 words\, each unraveling a story of family entanglement with Sosin’s loving but overbearing parents. At 70\, Sosin faces the loss of both parents and the challenges—and delights—of flying solo. Escape Velocity sheds light on what it means to claim our true selves without severing our close family bonds.

SUMMARY:A Staged Reading of Gas Light Therapy by Patricia Lynn
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Greg Stein is pumped. He’s ready. He is so ready to introduce his newest invention\, THE VICTOR—a revolutionary device that can permanently erase a woman’s most traumatic memory. And after he conducts a clinical trial super quick? He can take his pretty baby into mass production. But after he tricks a seemingly naive woman into being his test subject\, Greg is anything but pumped. Because the woman he picked? She is not naive. In fact\, both she and THE VICTOR are far more powerful than they seem… \n\n\n\nVery loosely inspired by Frankenstein\, Gas Light Therapy is a twisted but witty exploration of mental health\, identity\, and the importance of recognizing that good intentions should never excuse dangerous actions. \n\n\n\nWritten by Patricia Lynn (WSS\, June 2023)Directed by Jenn Susi \n\n\n\nRehearsal Stage Manager Heather Olmstead* \n\n\n\nCAST \n\n\n\nAlexander Settineri* as GREGMark Weatherup Jr.* as ALEXRita McCann as PATIENCEPatricia Lynn* as THE VICTOR \n\n\n\n* Equity Member appearing with permission of Actors’ Equity Association without benefit of a contract in this Off-Off-Broadway production.
