Sharon Bryan is the author of four books of poems, most recently Sharp Stars, which received the Isabella Gardner Poetry Award. She edited Where We Stand: Women Poets on Literary Tradition, and co-edited, with William Olsen, Planet on the Table: Poets on the Reading Life. Her awards include NEA Fellowships in Poetry, arts grants from Tennessee and Washington, and an Arvon Foundation prize. Tony Eprile is the author of the New York Times notable book of the year novel, The Persistence of Memory. His work has appeared in publications including Ploughshares, The Nation, and The New York Times. He is completing a novel, The War Artist, and a memoir, God Save Your Bloody Queen. His photographs have appeared in The Christian Science Monitor, National Geographic and Traveler, and Discover. He is a mushroom forager, swimmer, and practitioner of Uechi Ryu karate.
