Harvard Book Store welcomes Hester Kaplan (Fiction, MFA Writing Faculty)—award-winning author of The Edge of Marriage—for a discussion of her new book Twice Born: Finding My Father in the Margins of Biography. She will be joined in conversation by Megan Marshall—Pulitzer Prize-winning  historian and the Charles Wesley Emerson College Professor of Nonfiction Writing at Emerson College. 

Twice Born is a deeply reflective memoir weaving together the personal story of Hester Kaplan’s acclaimed biographer father and his fraught effect on her artistic development with a rich portrait of twentieth century intellectual life and a meditation on family intimacy, identity, and the art of writing.
