Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in literary journals and anthologies\, including The Best American Short Stories series. She is the recipient of two NEA awards\, and was named a Mark Twain Fellow for Twice Born. \n\n\n\nAlizah Holstein holds a PhD in history from Cornell University and an MFA in nonfiction writing and literary translation from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She lives with her family in Providence\, Rhode Island.
