DESCRIPTION:Jessa Maxwell\, Kristin Offiler (Fiction\, January 2011)\, and Vanessa Lillie will discuss their writing process\, the thriller/mystery genre\, and using Rhode Island as a locale in their novels. \n\n\n\nMaxwell’s Dead of Summer is a twisty\, entertaining atmospheric thriller revolving around a decades-long mysterious disappearance; Offiler’s The Housewarming is a haunting novel of psychological suspense about a summer getaway that rips apart a group of lifelong friends; and Lillie’s Blood Sisters introduces archaeologist Syd Walker\, who is investigating the disappearance of two women\, one of whom is her sister. The authors will discuss their writing process\, the mystery/thriller genre\, and the use of local settings in their novels\, and will also take time for questions.
