Visit Whitelam Books in Reading, MA for a special double story time to celebrate the book launch of author Ellen Mayer (Flutter, Flap, Fly!) where she will be joined by author Sara Levine (WFYP/Nonfiction, January 2006) (A Visit With the Birds: A Hands-on Nature Book) to both share their latest books.

Flutter, Flap, Fly!: Teo rides on Papi’s shoulders to the playground, wishing he could soar and swoop like the birds above. He pretends to be a bird, fluttering his arms like one splashing in a puddle. Soon, his favorite playground structure transforms into a big tree as new playmates take little Teo under their wing, and together they peck, hop, and fly, giving Teo the courage to soar and swoop like the birds.

A Visit With the Birds: A Hands-on Nature Book: Connect with nature in this interactive trip to an urban park full of wildlife! Little ones will be prompted to count the birds they see, point out colors, spread birdseed, and keep an eye out for other critters. As they follow and interact with the story, kids will learn how to use their senses to take in the amazing natural world around them.
