Roslindale author Kate Fussner (WFYP, June 2021) will sign her books, 13 Ways to Say Goodbye and The Song of Us, at Rozzie Bound Co-op. Kate is a novelist, educator, and accidental poet living in Massachusetts with her wife and dramatic dog. She holds her B.A. in English from Vassar College, her M.Ed. from UMass Boston/Boston Teacher Residency, and her M.F.A. in Writing for Young People from Lesley University. Her debut novel, The Song of Us, was named a Notable Verse Novel 2024 by NCTE, long-listed for the MA Book Awards for YA/MG, and named a Best Children’s Book of the Year with outstanding merit by Bank Street College of Education. Kate believes in the power of a good laugh and a good cry, and hopes her stories will provide readers with both.
