Join the Friends of the Vineyard Haven Library for an author talk celebrating the release of The Golden Land, the debut novel by the library’s new adult program coordinator, Elizabeth (Liz) Shick (Fiction, January 2019). Winner of the AWP Prize for the Novel, The Golden Land is an intergenerational tale set against the backdrop of Myanmar that explores the complexities of family history and relationships. Liz will talk about the six years she lived in Myanmar and how those experiences inspired her to write The Golden Land.
